October 17- Gourmet in the Glen, Glen Innes.

Gourmet in the Glen 2010 will be even better with more stalls, more entertainment, more food and more relaxation. Sit back and take in the gorgeous location of glorious King Edward Park with its huge shady trees and sweeping lawns.Be entertained by local musicians and taste the wines of the region. Try all sorts of morsels and watch the children run around (but don't forget to come equipped with wide brimmed hats and sunscreen). Let the day drift by and then merge into evening as Gourmet in the Glen moves over the road to the New England Club for even more entertainment and a relaxing evening.

October 23 - Grafton to Inverell Cycling Classic
This year is the 50th Grafton to Inverell, classed as one of the toughest one day events in the world.  228km, starting in Grafton at 10m above sea level, climbing to 1190m at the highest point, and finishing in Inverell at 590m. Depending on race conditions, the race finishes in Inverell between 2-3pm. Come and enjoy the carnival atmosphere in Otho street, Inverell, leading up to the conclusion of the race.
